EMA is a consulting engineering firm specializing in decarbonization strategies, energy audits, LEED™ enhanced commissioning, ENERGY STAR® Award application filings and BERDO / BEUDO municipal energy filings. As a member of USGBC LEED, and ENERGY STAR® Partner EMA encourages LEED™ Commissioning and sustainable energy-saving carbon neutral Net Zero designs and major retrofits.
Since the onset of the COVID pandemic in early 2020, EMA has played an active role in significantly reducing transmission rates of airborne viruses such as SARS, TB and Influenza in high rise offices, town buildings and dozens of K-12 schools. One such design was featured on Boston’s local CBS news filmed on location at Franklin High School. These efforts resulted in earlier and more confident re-opening of offices, senior centers, libraries and schools.
